The Friends of Maclay Gardens Board of Directors is a group of volunteers and dedicated Tallahassee residents who are committed to the success of one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in the country. Through initiatives such as the annual Tour of Gardens and Moon Over Maclay jazz concert the board helps to fund projects throughout the year that enhance the beauty and history of the park.The board meets on the first Wednesday of each month. Additionally, board members may participate in committees related to finance, membership, events and more. Board members must maintain active volunteer status with Florida State Parks. Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park is located in the heart of Tallahassee, FL. The gardens are a masterpiece of floral architecture, featuring a picturesque brick walkway, secret garden, reflection pool, walled garden and hundreds of camellias and azaleas. The park is also home to a recreation area with a 160-acre lake and miles of shaded multi-use trails, perfect for bird watching or biking.
